HD lace is finer and more transparent, so it melts more convincingly against the scalp, and it is more delicate to install and take down. Swiss lace is sturdier, more forgiving and survives more reinstalls. Neither is better in the abstract: HD wins on invisibility, Swiss on durability and price. Detail in what lace types are there.
